We are growing and are looking to add a Product Engineer to our Engineering Team. Joining our “we-first” bunch you’ll have the chance to grow together with our company in a very exciting industry. In this role, you will develop concepts, design, prototype, test and prepare innovative products for production. You will be responsible for a large portion of the product development cycle for new innovations in the cannabis space.

What You’ll Do

  • Work in multidisciplinary product development teams including supply chain management, production, manufacturing, quality engineering and project management.
  • Review designs and participate in research and development of new products.
  • Create design documentation for new products such as drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Mentor the members of the Engineering team.
  • Manage BOM’s for production assemblies.
  • Partake in full product life cycles including concept development to analysis, design, prototyping, design verification, documentation, continuous improvement, production assistance and troubleshooting.
  • Develop project plans and coordinate activities of production and suppliers – report on status.
  • Perform analysis on designs such as FEA, CFD, material selection, 3D modelling, concept testing.
  • Design utilizing tools such as DFMA, DFMEA and QFD in accordance with ISO9001 procedures.
  • Specify and approve required validation testing for new product designs as well as production line QA testing.

Who You Are And What You Need To Succeed

  • 5-10 years experience as Mechanical Engineer
  • Proven success in new product development
  • P.Eng. designation, an asset
  • Experience in a similar industry, an asset (equipment manufacturer, agriculture, etc.)
